Gwyneth Paltrow Was so Excited about Matching Zendaya's Outfit She Forgot They Were in the Same Movi

Gwyneth Paltrow can finally say she's got something in common with Euphoria's Zendaya – besides, you know, the fact that they're both actresses (in Spiderman).

On Sunday, Zendaya hit the red carpet at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards, where she was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series. She positively dazzled in an eye-catching Tom Ford asymmetrical molded top in a deep fuchsia, paired with a floor-length maxi skirt, also from Tom Ford.

She paired the look with lengthy braids as well as jewelry from both Mateo New York and Djula, all courtesy of stylist Law Roach. Her shoes? Louboutin pumps, of course.

It was a next-level look that was unlike any other outfit that night, but there was something a bit familiar about it. That's because Gwyneth Paltrow herself rocked the same shielded top on her February 2020 Harper's Bazaar cover. The pair are effectively twinning in the matching outfits, with Zendaya pairing her look with deep, pink eyeshadow and Gwyneth opting for light makeup on the cover.

Gwyneth was so pleased about Zendaya rocking the same outfit that she left a comment on a snap of Zendaya wearing the look.

"Thank God I can say I have something in common with Zendaya," Paltrow commented.

The armor plating-like top runs $15,000, so it's a pricey investment piece, but it's also an intriguing addition that added pizazz to both women's looks. The plating first debuted during Ford's ready-to-wear Spring/Summer 2020 runway show.

This totally isn't a case of "who wore it better," because they both made the futuristic chrome top their own in different ways. And though Zendaya has yet to comment on her Tom Ford doppelganger, it's fun to think about the fact that two of Hollywood's brightest ended up sharing similar style goals.
