Gold Coast, Queensland: Woman killed after being hit by car in Paradise Point

A woman has died after she was struck by a car while crossing the road in Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The 86-year-old was walking across Grice Ave at Paradise Point just after 4.30pm on Wednesday when she was struck by the vehicle.

The Hollywell woman was taken to Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition where she died later that evening.

Police have confirmed the driver of the car was not injured as a result of the incident.

No charges have been laid against the driver.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations into the crash are ongoing.
